One-day Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights hosted in Darrang College

Darrang College’s Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) cell, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a highly informative one-day seminar on IPR on September 19, 2024. The event, held at the New Alumni Gallery, brought together academics and students to explore the crucial topic of intellectual property rights. Dr. Palasmani Saikia, Principal of Darrang College, officially inaugurated the seminar, setting the tone for a day of learning and discussion. The seminar was convened by Dr. Dipanjan Chakraborty, Academic Vice Principal of Darrang College, ensuring a well-structured and engaging event.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Pritam Deb, DPIIT Chair Professor from the Intellectual Property Rights cell of Tezpur University. Prof. Deb’s expertise in the field provided valuable insights to the attendees, enriching their understanding of IPR issues. The seminar also featured several paper presentations. This exchange of ideas contributed significantly to the academic discourse surrounding intellectual property rights.

Prof. P. Pawe, Vice Principal of Darrang College conducted the valedictory session, bringing the proceedings to a successful conclusion. During this closing function, certificates were distributed to participants, recognizing their engagement in this important educational event.
