Tezpur, 11th August ’21: Funeral rites of eminent social activist of Tezpur Pronoti Goswami, who held the life time membership of Tezpur Mahila Samiti and had immensely participated for women empowerment was observed on 11th August ’21 at her abode.
Mother of two sons namely Dr. Pronil Goswami and Madhuryya Goswami and one daughter Madhusmita Goswami, Pronoti Goswami passed away at the age of 89 on 01 August 2021.
She was born on 22th August 1933 and was engaged with various organisations such as Tezpur Sahitya Sabha, Tezpur Maitree Sangh, Assam Horticulture Society etc. She was also vocal and had active participation at the Assam Andolan.
