Massive Python rescued in Nabil gaon, Jamugurihat
A dramatic scene unfolded in the village of Nabil Gaon early this morning when a massive 7-foot python entered a home hunting a domesticated rabbit. The large constrictor slithered into the house of Ritu Das, likely trailing the scent of the rabbit it intended to make its next meal. Das was shocked when he spotted the enormous reptile in his home going after the rabbit. He quickly alerted his neighbors, and two brave young men, Bishnu Deuri and Bhoben Das, sprang into action to capture the uninvited visitor.
Exercising extreme caution and skill, the two managed to safely restrain the python. They carefully secured it and immediately contacted local forest department officials to hand over the big snake. Forest rangers arrived on the scene and retrieved the python, which they later released back into its natural habitat in the wilderness away from the village. No one was injured during this startling encounter. However, it was undoubtedly a terrifying experience for Das to find one of India’s largest snake species slithering around his home in search of the fawn. Thanks to the courageous actions of Bishnu Deuri and Bhoben Das, a potentially dangerous situation was resolved safely with the python being released unharmed into the wild.
