Tezpur, Sep 14 : A news Portal ‘Alive News, 24 x7‘ based out of Thelamara, Sonitpur has been recently hit by a suspected Malware, infecting its Facebook page newsfeed.
The malware attack is such that leads to pornographic content appearing on newsfeed or timelines of the page.
In this regard, the President and one of the Admins of Alive News 24 x 7, Anup Nath lodged a First Information Report at Thelamara Police Station. He said that on 9th Sep, at around 10:46 PM, some unidentified miscreants hacked the Media Portal and since then the admins have not been able to use the platform.
The officer-in-charge of Thelamara Police Station has been communicated about the said problem and that Mr. Nath said that he should not be held liable in case of any offending contents being shared from page in the meanwhile.
Such malware attacks may be possible if user clicks any suspicious links populating on Facebook fake profiles or on pornographic sites.
