Tezpur, July 15 : The final rehearsal and review cum inspection of the preparation for Agniveer Recruitment Rally to be held from 15th July to 27th July, 2024 with assistance from Blazing Sword Division and District Administration, Sonitpur was done today at Jaswant Stadium, Missamari Army Camp. Today’s inspection was led by Brigadier Rajeev Kumar, DDG Recruiting, NE Zone Shillong. Executive Magistrate Iris Ahmed along with other officials of concerned departments of District Administration and army officials for the rally were present during the inspection.
The first leg of the rally, to be held from 15th July to 20th July 2024 for shortlisted candidates of nine districts of Upper Assam namely Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Sivasagar and Tinsukia is being conducted by Army Recruiting Office, Jorhat under the aegis of Recruiting Zone Shillong. Later, from 23rd July to 27th July 2024, the recruitment rally will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates of four districts of Central Assam namely Sonitpur, Biswanath, Nagaon and Morigaon. Army official from Recruiting Office, Jorhat and Shillong informed that more than 2000 candidates of Upper Assam and around 1200 candidates of Central Assam districts are expected to take part in this Recruitment Rally respectively.
It is to be noted, that the results of the shortlisted candidates who had appeared in the online entrance examination that was conducted across the country in the first phase in April-May 2024 have already been uploaded on the official website of the Indian Army, www.joininidianarmy.nic.in.
