A tragic road accident took place at around 9 am on Saturday on the newly constructed four-lane road in Tezpur.
Sirajul Islam, the handyman of the truck bearing registration no. AS 03 BC 6669 carrying coal, suddenly slipped on the road when he was getting down from the vehicle.
Sources mentioned that the deceased was a resident of Nagaon’s Samaguri Bajiya village. Two other drivers of the truck, have been taken to the local Borghat police station and interrogations are going on in connection with the incident.
