Tezpur, May 23: The 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the North Assam Distributors Association (NADA), Tezpur, was held successfully at Hotel Center Point, Tezpur, on Friday in the presence of members and representatives of the distributors’ fraternity from the region.
The meeting was conducted under the presence of the General Secretary of the North East Distributors Association (NEDA), Guwahati, Mr. Poonam Kumar Taneja. Discussions during the meeting focused on the upcoming tenure of the association, organisational activities, and issues concerning FMCG distributors and related stakeholders.
NADA, Tezpur, an organisation representing distributors of FMCG companies in North Assam, is affiliated with the North East Distributors Association (NEDA), Guwahati. According to the association, NEDA was formed in 1997 with the objective of protecting the rights and interests of the FMCG distributors’ fraternity. The organisation has also been engaged in several social and welfare-oriented activities over the years.
Addressing the gathering, members highlighted the role of the association in safeguarding the interests of distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers associated with large, medium, and small FMCG companies across the region.
During the AGM, the new committee for the upcoming tenure was also announced. The newly elected office bearers are:
- President – Mr. Sriram Patodia
- Vice President – Mr. Kamakhya Pareek
- General Secretary – Mr. Manoj Kumar Gope
- Joint Secretary – Mr. Nayan Talukdar
- Treasurer – Mr. Abhijit Ghosh
- Joint Treasurer – Mr. Parmatma Singh
The executive members of the committee include Mr. Lalit Agarwal, Mr. Kunal Jalan, Mr. Pallav Bhattacharya, Mr. Arup Dey, Mr. Sujit Ghosh, Mr. Sanjay Sarkar, and Mr. Bipul Sharma.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with members expressing hope that the newly formed committee would continue working towards the welfare and development of the distributors’ community in North Assam.
