Traffic Diversion for Flyover construction; Parua to Mission Chariali closed for Vehicular movement

Tezpur, July 11: With a view to speeding up the process of on-going 4-lane flyover construction at Mission-Chariali, the authorities have announced to close the said road from July 14, 2024 due to urgent improvement work to temporary Service Road. The stretch extends between Parua Chariali to Mission Charial via Old NH-37A (New NH-715), an arterial road that connects many vital areas of the city.

District Commissioner, Tezpur issues notification on X

Alternative routes have been designated to mitigate the probable disruptions and ensure a smooth commute for all residents and travelers. Heavy vehicles will be diverted via NH Bypass, Dolabari to Jamuguri, NH-15, from Jamuguri to Mission Chariali; this is a bit of a longer route and will thus reduce congestion and probable bottlenecks. Light vehicles can take Parua Chariali-Dhanuanagar Tiniali-Mazgaon Road-Vartak-Mission Chariali Road, which is more direct and convenient. Motorists are advised to plan journeys accordingly, allowing extra time to account for any potential delays. The road will be closed until further notice; updates will be provided as necessary to keep the public informed.
