Empowering Tezpur’s Future Leaders with the Right Health Information

Shankara Cancer and Research Institute, in association with the Rotary Club of Tezpur, conducted an awareness programme for approximately 200 students of Government Girls Higher Secondary MP School, Amolapatty Road, Tezpur.

The programme was attended by Principal Mr Rupam Kumar Borah; Senior Teachers Ms Reema Devi, Ms Purabi Saha and Ms Barnalee Saikia; Rtn Dr Pavani Medisetty; Dr Venkata Pradeep Babu Koyyala, Director, Shankara Cancer and Research Institute; Mr Devajeet Kalita, COO; and Ms Aruna Devee, Retired AJS Officer.

Dr Venkata Pradeep Babu interacted with the students on HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention, common myths and misconceptions, accessing reliable health information online, and the importance of avoiding addictions at a young age.

The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions, learn about preventive healthcare and make informed decisions about their health.The right information today can lead to healthier choices tomorrow.
