Tezpur University set to mark 33rd Foundation Day with Distinguished Speaker

Tezpur University will celebrate its 33rd Foundation Day on 21 January 2026, welcoming members of the academic community, media, and distinguished guests to commemorate the institution’s legacy and achievements. The celebrations will take place at the KBR Auditorium, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. The Acting Vice-Chancellor will commence the ceremony with the traditional flag hoisting, followed by the University Anthem.

This year’s Foundation Day Oration will be delivered by Dr Dinesh Chandra Goswami, a distinguished scientist and noted author. Dr Goswami’s address is expected to highlight key developments in scientific research and education.

The Organising Committee has extended invitations to media representatives and colleagues from across the region to join the celebrations. The event marks another milestone in the university’s journey since its establishment, showcasing its continued contributions to higher education in the Northeast. The Foundation Day celebrations serve as an opportunity to reflect on the university’s progress and reinforce its vision for the future.
