The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma (PMV) Scheme (PM Vishwakarma Yojana) is a central sector scheme launched on 17th September 2023 by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME). It provides holistic, end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople (Vishwakarmas) working with their hands and tools in the unorganised sector.
In this regard, a three-day PMV Exhibition cum Trade Fair is being organised at Collegiate Field, Tezpur by Branch MSME-DFO, Tezpur in association with DICC, Sonitpur & Edupur Foundation (NGO). The exhibition was inaugurated on 6th February 2026 by the chief guest Shri Prithiraj Rava, Hon’ble MLA, Tezpur LAC along with Shri Gaurav Joshi, Director-MSME-DFO, Guwahati, Shri Ramen Tamuli, Municipality Chairman, Shri Achaya Sonowal, LDM, Sonitpur, Shri Ishaan Majumdar Baruah, GM/In Charge-DICC, Sonitpur, Shri Diapankar Tamuli, Dist. Manager, CSC, Shri Ashis Kumar Padhi, Asstt. Director/In Charge-Br. MSME Office, Tezpur, Shri Amit Raj Konwar, Director, Edupur Foundation and officials from Defence Research Laboratory, Tezpur University.

In 50 stalls, artisans from different trades showcased their products and services. They belong to different trades like carpenter, masonry, tailoring, Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver, Metal Smith/Metal Caster (Dhatu Shilpi), Barber, Fishing Net Maker, Hammer & Tool Kit Maker, Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional), Locksmith, Potter, Cobbler (Charmakar)/Shoesmith/Footwear Artisan, Goldsmith etc. The main purpose of this trade fair is to commercialise the talent of Vishwakarmas. The exhibition cum trade fair will continue from 6th to 8th February 2026.
