Tezpur AASU organized a Special Felicitation Ceremony at Swahid Bakori, showcasing a remarkable celebration of academic and cultural excellence on 10th July. The event honored around 700 meritorious students who successfully cleared the HSLC (SEBA BOARD) and HS Examination (AHSEC). Among the distinguished achievers were 14 rank holders of the APSC CCE Examination and Ishwari Deka, who secured AIR 303 in the UPSC exams.
The ceremony also recognized Rodali Barua for her outstanding achievement of winning a Bronze Medal in the Asian Games held in the Philippines earlier this year. Additionally, nine Satriya Dancers and one Mask Artist from Tezpur, who represented Assam in this year’s Republic Day parade in Delhi, were felicitated for their cultural contributions.
The event was graced by several notable figures, with Dr. Samujjal Kr Bhattacharjee, Chief Advisor of AASU, serving as the chief guest. Other distinguished attendees included Dr. Jyoti Kamal Hazarika, Principal of Tezpur College, Dr. Abani Sharma, Retired Principal of Darrang College, and Dr. Charu Sahariya Nath, Retired Principal of Tezpur College. Representatives from the Central Committee of AASU, Asom Sena, and Assam Unnati Sabha were also present, underlining the importance of the occasion and the community’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent across various fields. This grand felicitation ceremony on July 10 served as a testament to Tezpur’s rich pool of talent and the region’s dedication to celebrating its achievers.
