Sonitpur District Congress Committee came in association with Sonitpur District Youth Congress, Sonitpur District NSUI and Sonitpur District Mahila Congress to submit a memorandum to the President of India through the Deputy commissioner of Sonitpur District, Assam demanding one crore vaccination & to ensure free vaccination for every citizen of India.
There have been reports that the state health sector is facing a shortage of vaccines. However, it is worth mentioning that CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has ensured quick recovery of the vaccine situation in the state. “If we compare with the vaccine supply in May, Assam will get 30% more Covid-19 vaccines in June. This will become 50% in July and surplus in August. People will be able to get themselves inoculated through walk-in registration. The drive is going ahead in a planned manner,” Sarma said.
