Tezpur, June 10, 2025 (Tuesday): Jivanti Boxing Club made their mark at the All-Assam Inter-District Boxing Championship Cum State Trials, bringing home three medals out of six participants in a strong showing for the Dabur-sponsored team.
The boxing club sent six fighters to compete in the state-level championship, with half of their team securing podium finishes across different categories.
In the Junior Boys Category, Rahul Limbu claimed a bronze medal for his performance in the ring. The Elite Women Category saw exceptional results for Jivanti Boxing Club, with both Priya Boro and Rwisumwi Bala Basumatary earning silver medals for their outstanding fights.
The championship served as both an inter-district competition and state trials, making the medals even more significant for the athletes’ future prospects in boxing.
Jivanti Boxing Club operates with sponsorship and support from Dabur India Ltd, which has helped provide the resources needed for training and competition participation.
The three-medal haul represents a 50% success rate for the club’s participants, showing the quality of training and preparation that went into the championship. The results across both junior and elite categories demonstrate the club’s ability to develop talent at different levels.
