UCI Foundation Tezpur hosts Heartwarming Photowalk to Empower Underprivileged Kids

UCI Foundation, a leading nonprofit
organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children, organised a transformative photowalk for the little creatives. Through this effort, children benefiting from UCI
Foundation’s Anant Vidya Program, which provides free education, had the opportunity to explore their creativity through the art of photography.

The photowalk took place at Mahabhairab Temple, where young photographers embarked on a visually stimulating journey, discovering the art of photography with the support and encouragement of our volunteers. For many of these children, it was their first-ever experience with cameras in their hands. Led by volunteers, who with their time and expertise mentored and guided the children, they were introduced to various techniques of capturing pictures and encouraged to observe the beauty in and around the temple premises.

This initiative aimed to ignite their creativity, providing them with a chance to express themselves through the lens of a camera and
opening doors to new possibilities. It aimed to unlock their creative potential and allow the children to explore various art forms.

“Introducing these children to photography was an incredible experience,” remarked Ronit Ghosh, Assistant Secretary of the UCI Foundation. “Our goal is to provide children with a quality education and guide them on a journey of creativity and learning. We believe that by arming them with opportunities through the art of photography, they can develop well and enhance their observational abilities while letting their creativity flourish.”

With cameras provided by the volunteers, each child had the opportunity to capture images and experience the world from their unique perspective. The photowalk not only encouraged the children but also instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment within them.

The UCI Foundation has always been dedicated to the growth and development of children through various educational, artistic, and community-based programs. It aims to provide students with
opportunities to explore their interests, develop their skills, and contribute to society. The Foundation ensures that children from economically challenged backgrounds can participate in educational programs, explore their talents, and access the resources necessary for their growth.
