Tezpur: BDMTCCC beats Polo Club by 94 runs to raise the 5th APCC trophy

Organised by Tezpur District Cricket Association at Polo Ground, the 5th Assam Premier Club Championship concluded yesterday and BDMTCCC lifted the trophy after defeating Polo Club by 94 runs.

The Bhaben Dawka Memorial Tezpur Cricket Coaching Centre (BDMTCCC) won the toss in the finals and set a target of 211 runs, but the Polo Club fell short of 94 and were bowled out at 116 runs in 25.5 overs.

BDMTCCC’s Gaurav Saikia knocked 70 of 73 balls, Hirak Jyoti Deka 36 runs of 33 balls, Jugen Das 35 runs of 14 balls. Whereas Polo Club’s Bhargav Gowala’s 34 runs of 63 balls and Mithun Das’s 30 runs of 29 balls were the best scores.

In bowling, Polo Club’s Kunal Pandey took 3 wickets in 6 overs by giving 27 runs including a maiden over. BDMTCCC’S Rajakudin Ahmed took 4 wickets in 5.5 overs with 31 runs, Sumanta Jha 3 wickets in 4 overs with 11 runs including 2 maiden overs.
