On the auspicious occasion of Teachers’ Day 2021, a new literary society named Sonitpur District Poet Society has been inaugurated. The main objective of this society is to bring young poetic talents and nurture them.
Famous poet and writer Mr. Mridul Chahariya, Mr Norohori Chutiya along with Mr Dilip Kumar Boruah were present as advisors in the inaugural function.
A Sonitpur district committee was also formed where Mr Kiran Bora and Mr Jyotirmoy Sarmah were given the responsibility of the President and the Secretary respectively.
A 15 member society with the objective to broaden the horizon of literature in Sonitpur district also has been formed. The programme started with a Guru Bandana and ended with the beautiful ring of songs and poems.
