Eastern Army Commander, Lt Gen Manoj Pande reviews operational situation at Gajraj Corps HQ in Tezpur

Tezpur, July 13 : GOC – in – Chief, Eastern Command, Indian Army, Lieutenant General Manoj Pande visited Gajraj Corps Headquarters in Tezpur on Monday. He was briefed on operational situation and various training activities being carried out to enhance capabilities.

Lt Gen Manoj Pande called on Assam Governor, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi Ji at Raj Bhavan on Monday where he discussed about the security situation and Army’s presence in Upper Assam districts viz., Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Golaghat and Charaideo.

Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also welcomed Lt. Gen Manoj Pande and Lt Gen Ravin Khosla at his office on Monday afternoon. Taking to twitter, Dr. Sarma wrote, “Glad to have welcomed Lt Gen Manoj Pande, GOC-in-Chief of @easterncomd with Lt Gen Ravin Khosla, GOC @GajrajCorps_IA at my office this afternoon. I expressed our sincere gratitude to them for having played a sterling role in the Eastern sector”.
