64 Years of Innovation: DRL-DRDO Tezpur celebrated its 64th Raising Day

Tezpur, November 21, 2025 (Friday): The Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), Tezpur, under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), celebrated its 64th Raising Day with a gathering that brought together both current and former officers and staff.

The celebration, held at the DRL campus in Tezpur, was marked by the special presence of retired officers and staff members who had contributed to the laboratory’s growth over the decades. Their attendance added a nostalgic dimension to the event, highlighting the laboratory’s rich legacy in defence research.

Dr. Pramod Kumar Satyawali, Centre Head of DRL, delivered the welcome address and set the tone for the ceremony by reviewing the laboratory’s accomplishments over the past year. In his speech, he outlined the significant milestones achieved by DRL in advancing defence research and technology.

Emphasizing the path forward, Dr. Satyawali stressed the critical need for reformation and transformation within the organization. He highlighted that optimizing performance in research and development establishments requires continuous evolution and adaptation to emerging challenges in the defence sector.
