Sonitpur, January 17, 2025 (Saturday): Dabur India Limited has officially inaugurated its Adarsh Pathshala – School Support Program at Swahid Birsa Munda LP School in Borghuli village, Balipara Block, Sonitpur, marking a significant investment in rural education infrastructure.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative was inaugurated by Mrs Sanskriti Simani (IAS), Co-District Commissioner of Rangapara, alongside Mr Digvijay Choudhary, Unit Head for Tezpur, and Mr Surendra Yadav, HR Head for Tezpur. Representatives from the Block Education Department, the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), the Gaon Panchayat President, students, parents, and local community members attended the ceremony.
The Adarsh Pathshala program represents Dabur’s commitment to transforming government schools across India through comprehensive infrastructure improvements. Operating across seven states, the initiative focuses on creating conducive learning environments by addressing fundamental educational needs that often hinder student performance and attendance.
The program’s core objectives include enhancing sanitation facilities with separate toilets for girls and boys, ensuring clean water availability in washrooms and wash basins, and renovating classrooms with essential furniture such as desks and benches. Additionally, the scheme incorporates vibrant “Building as Learning Aid” (BaLA) paintings to improve the visual appeal of school premises and establish kitchen gardens to support nutrition education.
This intervention goes beyond infrastructure; it is about fostering a safe and supportive school environment where students can focus on learning without worrying about basic amenities.
The community-driven approach involves strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including students, parents, and teachers, ensuring that improvements align with actual needs on the ground. By addressing sanitation, cleanliness, and classroom requirements, the program aims to boost both student attendance and academic focus.
During the inauguration, formal handover documents were presented to school authorities, cementing the partnership between Dabur and the educational institution. Officials described the initiative as one of the most impactful CSR projects implemented this quarter in the region, with particular acknowledgement given to Mr Byas Anand and Mr Sanjay Kumar Sah for their ongoing support throughout the planning and implementation stages.
Swahid Birsa Munda LP School becomes the latest beneficiary of this nationwide effort to uplift government school infrastructure, bringing essential improvements to children in underserved communities across Assam and beyond.
