Tezpur, Nov 3 : Although a rare occurrence, allegedly a fourth grade govt. employee named Hem Bora, working at the Office of the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (Soil), Hazarapar, Tezpur has been using proxy attendance often and was paying minimum wage to a different person named Dul for performing his official duty.
Even his colleagues couldn’t hide the fact that the person named Dul visits the office and does Hem Borah’s official tasks. Hem Bora has been posted as a night watchman and sources reported that he was mostly irregular on duty.
A source said that other employees fear to make complaints against him. Interestingly, Hem Bora also owns two buildings at Tezpur’s Chandmari area and has a balance of crores, said another source.
A proper enquiry in this regard has become a high priority.
