BRO restores wrecked road with lightening speed, vehicular movement of Balipara-Tawang road now smooth

Tezpur/Arunachal, Sep 20 | Sanjiv Hazarika : As a result of the heavy rain in West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh, the Border Roads Organization’s (BRO) Project Vartak which connects Balipara, Chariduar and Tawang was washed away at many points in the dark hours on 17th September due to cloud burst.

The Sessa and Nechifu area from point 55 km to 99 km experienced major destruction and thus the road was kept closed, since the night of 17th september.

The BRO Project Vartak’s 99 RCC’s 4 members of 14 task force, 30 employees of GREF, with the help of 70 workers and 10 dumpers and JCB has started to reconstruct the road right from 18th September’s morning.

Praiseworthy were their immense effort which has revived the road on such a short notice and at the same time, the company is also monitoring probable fixes to be made at certain places.
