One of the great souls of our town and a respected personality Dr. Subhasish Sen unfortunately passed away on 22/10/2018 i.e. Monday at nearly 2113 hours. His health was in a constant deterioration on which he had regular checkups in Delhi. Inflicted with the deadly dengue, Dr. Sen took his last breath at the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, Haryana, sources said while in a conversation with the Buzz team.
Born on 15th October, 1958, Dr. Sen passed his Matriculation in 1976 from the Bengali Boys Higher Secondary School and had his graduations from the Darrang College, Tezpur. On successful attempt to the entrance, he then enrolled his name to the Gauhati Medical College and achieved the MBBS degree in the year 1985. He further approached to the Kothari Medical Centre, Kolkata, where he persuaded the ‘Residency in Medicine’ in ‘Gastroenterology’.
On successful accomplishment in his efforts, he returned to Tezpur and has served for some years under the well reputed Dr. Rabindra Nath Goswami for experiences prior to the inauguration of his own chamber at Notunpara, Tezpur.
Besides medical sciences, sources also reported that he had keen interests on astronomical facts and has also facilitated some citizens to explore the space with differently sized telescope in his possession. He is also known for helping the deprived sectors who didn’t had sufficient means to incur treatment.
Tezpur Buzz really condoles and laments this unfortunate demise of Dr. Sen with a heavy heart. May the great soul rest in peace and harmony.
