Tezpur : Floral Tributes paid to Natyasurya Phani Sharma on his 50th Death Anniversary

Tezpur, July 31 : The Cultural fraternity of Tezpur along with District Administration on Friday paid floral tributes to Natyasurya Phani Sharma on his 50th Death Anniversary at Kolibari Xomadhikhetra (Crematorium) in Tezpur.

Several organisations paid rich Tributes at Tezpur Sahitya Sabha Bhavan, Trimurti Udyan. Historic Baan theatre family also observed a Sradhanjali programme at the premises to commemorate Natyasurya’s 50th Death Anniversary.

Besides this, the state government will also present the Natyasurya Phani Sharma Memorial Award 2020 to two renowned personalities of Drama/Theatre ~ Aishwarya Kakati and Bhabesh Baruah at Baan Theatre, Tezpur. The event is held by Directorate of Culture, Assam in collaboration with Sonitpur District Administration. Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal will grace the occasion and present the award in presence of Cultural Affairs Minister, Naba Kr. Doley.
