Tezpur: Awareness camp on various Divyang schemes held at city’s 5 Mile

Tezpur, 12 January: The North Assam Divyang Association organised camp at Panchmile High Madrasa Vidyalaya to make people aware of various Divyang schemes and benefits. The meeting was attended by around 400 to 450 people.

 

The main schemes and policies discussed were Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme, Free medical treatment for Divyang, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Scheme monthly 1000, rehabilitation fund, etc. The organisers of the camp also explained various other necessary steps like how to make Divyang certificate, how to apply for other government schemes and how to get a job card.

The special guests of the meeting were Special guest Rubi Kalita CDPO – Gabharu and Kamal Borah, Director PMKVY. The president of North Assam Divyang Association is Mr. Jitu Nath and the working president, Reyaz Ansari along with chief secretary, Mridula Kumar Borah and active member Sahjada Hussain.
