Team of rafters exploring Brahmaputra on their journey to lower Assam from Tezpur

The Brahmaputra Aamantran Abhiyan started their journey into lower Assam, after travelling all the way from Gelling,Arunachal Pradesh to Tezpur, Assam. The team of rafters will proceed with their journey from Tezpur in the presence of Shri U.P Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, members of NDRF and Brahmaputra Board officials.

Shri U.P Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, in the presence of Brahmaputra Board officials also launched the official music video for the Brahmaputra Aamantran Abhiyan.

The rafting team, after leaving Tezpur reached Moamari Ghat near Dhing and camped at Moamari Ghat, Dhing. Then they moved ahead and safely reached Nagaon where the members were warmly welcomed and felicitated by Mr. Rupak Sarmah, MLA, Nagaon.

The team also met and spent some quality time together with the family of Hima Das at Barbil Gaon, Assam. It also happens to be Hima Das’s home town. The team is presently at Kalai Char near Algachar in Darrang District.
