The Orang National Park also known as Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park opened its gates for tourists for the season 2018-19 on Thursday.
The park’s gate was opened by Buddin Chandra Hazarika, principal of Kharupetia College in the presence of various environmentalists.
As per reports, the tourists can presently enjoy jeep safaris and elephant rides inside the park and tourists can stay at the tourist lodge situated near the national park.
“I request the people of Assam to unite together and popularize Orang National Park around the world and I believe tourists will enjoy the natural beauty of the park”, Hazarika said.
The park was opened amidst great fervour and cultural festivities.
